Bell partners with AWS on VST Samplers 5G multi-access edge computing for Canadian businesses

Canadian telecommunications provider BCE Inc., better known as Bell Canada, said today it’s partnering with Amazon Web Services Inc. to bring lower-latency connectivity to its 5G network.
Bell said it’s launching the first public multi-access edge computing platform with AWS Wavelength in Canada. It added that it’s working with Amazon to deploy multiple AWS Wavelength Zones throughout the country at the edge of its 5G network, starting in Toronto.
Bell Public MEC with AWS Wavelength will bring Amazon’s cloud-based compute and storage services to the very edge of Bell’s 5G network, much closer to the mobile and connected ‘internet of things’ devices where much data is generated and consumed.
